The following is a personal project I completed for fun to work on and develop my 3D printing, 3D modeling, and problem solving skills. As a cyclist, I appreciate elegant tool storage solutions on the bike that allow the rider to carry as little on their body as possible. No brand does this better than Specialized. That being said, I saw a hole in their product line of saddle attachments that secure to bolt mounts on the bottom of their power saddle. Specialized offers a tool strap, bike computer, and light attachment mount, but nothing for a tool. Seeing this I decided to create my own, designed specifically for one of the most common multi-tools used by mountain bikers, the Crankbrothers M10. The main challenges were creating a 3d print that fit the complex saddle cavity geometry, and finding a secure method of attaching the tool.
